History On Saturday, March 22, 1980, at 12:30 p.m., six dedicated and outstanding members of Miami Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. met at the home of Soror Evelyn Wynn to formulate ideas and reasons for establishing a second chapter in Dade County. On 13th January 1913, Delta Sigma Theta was established at Howard University by 22 collegiate women. With the strength of those 22 women, the organization has grown to over 200,000 strong all over the world.
